What I observed was that the phone with heavy use of Android Apps hit this problem much, much more often than those with light use of Android Apss. And

I installed qCommand to execute a script as root (real bash is installed).

So, a normal user can just tap a few times on the screen and have call audio again.
This is faster than rebooting.
