Other

This 5.0.0.61 is the target for the public release for all supported devices. There will be more 5.0.0 update releases later during the first half of the year.

There will be more 5.0.0 updates.

That should be obvious ;). My question is if this 5.0.0.61 is expected to be released if no major issues will be found? Or it’s already clear that another EA is comming?

[C2]First upgrade attempt: Download (160 MB), reboot, unlock went well. Then upgrade failed with “Sailfish can’t be upgraded now. Try again later” message.

Reboot, searched anew for update, which is again found. Now downloading fails while “Waiting for connection…”. Tried probably ten times to no avail :frowning: .

Inrush of people eager to update overloading server?

Sony V, from 0.55 upgrade went smooth, no problems in process

Probably, be patient!
My C2 update went fine, but boot up took ‘ages’.

Patience is a virtue, I’m told

I was told so to, but I have never had it scientifically confirmed. :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Update went well and without issues for 10III and C2. Minor glitch with C2, boot up took a long time and after more than 30 seconds of showing the C2 logo phone rebooted once again and then started normally.

Had same experience with 10XIII, here is systemupdate.log

More interesting behaviour…

Rebooting, then opening Updates from notification results in “Preparing update” plus spinner for ~10 minutes. Then “Update available for download” - d/l still hangs on “Waiting for connection…”.

I fear something is amiss.

Are you in position to try changing connection mobile/WiFi ?

Update went fine without any glitches on the C2, Xperia 10 ii and Xperia 10 iii

Thank sailors, well done!

I tried, but my C2 no longer connects to my WiFi.
Scratch that, it just takes a long time to connect (minutes) to WiFi.

Unfortunately it doesn’t seem to make much of a difference for the update. I have just had >60 minutes of “Preparing update” + spinner… (Reboot, then Notification→Settings | Update → Spinner).

…which ended in “Update available” → “Waiting for connection…” as above :frowning:

I’ll try to locate the logs and see if there are any hints as to why update fails for me.

Update went fine with Xperia 10 III. I’ll try it with the C2 later.

Xperia 10Plus - no new issues, browser adr bar search is fixed

disabled all patches before update of course then updated from terminal via ssh
edit: same for Xperia 10II - all ok

Seems like you have an overall connection problem then, whatever it may be.

Correct, 5.0.0.61 is the targeted public release for all supported devices.

I’ll elaborate the “Other” section.

@rainemak Did you forget the usual release poll, or is it deliberate?

X10III, X10V and C2 upgrade all went fine with no hassle, except C2 needed some extra time and another reboot to boot up.

I’m having the exact same problem with the C2. Upgrade failed with “Sailfish can’t be upgraded now. Please try again later”. Then I rebooted and checked for updates again. It found 5.0.0.61 but said “Waiting for connection”. And both wifi and mobile data work.
