[Release notes] Tampella 5.0.0.61

Updatet my X10V all OK …thanks for update

The update does not work from the terminal either.

Exactly the same issue on my C2.

I bet that you @Pasik2 are in EA. Jolla account added, registered and active.

Do you dare to throw ssu lr (list repos)?

Yes, Jolla account added, registered and active and Early access to Sailfish OS releases enabled.
ssu lr:

Haha, now it looks connected via WiFi but won’t reach the internet… (Other devices still do.)

And I didn’t find logs from this part of the update process, only from the first failed attempt 4 hours ago.

@rainemak I’m also on EA since a while. This is what ssu lr says on my C2

[defaultuser@J-C2 ~]$ ssu lr

@Pasik2 that zypp::repo::RepoNoAliasException suggests you have some corrupted repo configuration file in /etc/zypp/repos.d

It should be safe to do, as root:

rm /etc/zypp/repos.d/*
ssu ur
systemctl stop packagekit

and after that version --dup should work

Thanks @Keto, update started fine after cleaning repo files.

Thanks! That helped and the update installed.

C2. The upgrade to .61 is complete but unexpectedly rebooted 4 times before booting up home screen.
I was afraid it would’ve been going to bootloop.

Thanks, @Keto, I tried that and after two reboots my C2 now reports that it is on 5.0.0.61 :fireworks:

Xperia 10 III working fine

How come that is, and how can we avoid it from happen? Would it be enough to do a repo refresh?
Just asking to learn more.

My C2 stopped rotating both homescreen and apps after the upgrade, anyone experience the same?

Lock/unlock the device, or go to CSD (settings, about, click build 5 times) and force gyro test

There is some possible race condition that multiple things try to update the repo config files. We already have a fix/mitigation to that, but it did not end up in the 5.0.0 release branch. Will be included in the next release.
