Xperia Tama port: 5.0.0.67 release

This is to announce the 5.0.0.61 SFOS update for Xperia Tama devices: XZ2, XZ2c, and XZ3.

It has undergone minimal testing - just quick checks. Early adopters are welcome to try it and report their experiences. Those preferring to be cautious may want to wait until more users have tested the release.

I have only tested the OTA update via SSH and did not observe whether the screen went blank, as occurred during the previous update.

Please read the instructions before updating via OTA.

Hi rinigus et al, I updated my xz2c with no problems from 4.6.0.15. I had a jolla repo for adaptation0 and I found the rpm by following the link provided back to the parent folders to 4.6 arch64. Everything seems to be in order. Thanks a lot.

Minor version update released: 5.0.0.67

OTA updates can be done as usual. Haven’t tested with direct update from 4.x, this may not work.

@rinigus I would like to thank you for your efforts on the great XZ2 Compact port. One question remains for me: Is there a complete flash archive with the current version 5.0.0.67 so that someone is not forced to do the update tango from 4.x to the latest version?

No, there is none. I am currently working on another port and don’t have time to work on this as well. So, if these images would to appear, someone has to step up and help to maintain it. :slight_smile:

As a first task - try to generate the images.

Is VoLTE possible for the XZ2 Compact?
I read on XDA-Forum that the Hardware is able to use VoLTE.

I don’t know whether it is supported with SODP. And as time is limited, I have stopped further development on Tama. So, don’t expect new features appearing on it unless you are ready to do it yourself. I’ll be happy to merge tested changes :slight_smile:
