Xperia 10 V support?

just read and do exactly as described:

Please make sure that your phone has Android version 13 or 14

after unlock

7.14 Disconnect the USB cable from your phone. Then, turn the phone on and let it boot up to the UI.
No need to run the “Get started” phase (if requested). It is good to stop there. Just turn the
phone off. This will complete the unlocking session.

and then you can flash…

sailfish for xperia 10v is catastrophic…
battery discharge…mobile data works partially…flight mode…no app for command line…
no license for app support.
image 4.6.0.15 from 20.09.2024 update to 5…the same
shit. are they asleep at jolla? jolla can’t even support their c2
and please don’t blame sony for updates!

no app for command line

I just enabled the developer mode and the Terminal app showed up in the launcher as usual.

For the battery discharge i recommend running “devel-su systemctl stop bluebinder” after every boot. If you need Bluetooth you have to start it again

enable then disable bluetooth after boot will “fix” the bluebinder too

Many thanks to you… will install and test sailfish again

Hello I have installed your Battery Info app do I have to set something there?

I’m having big problems with mobile data on Sailfish… my 10v has android 13…can i also use the sw binaries A13_5.4_va_zambezi.img when installing sailfish?
or do I have to flash sw binaris A14_5.4_va_zambesi.img?

there is nothing to set in app. just keep it running to get notification about discharged battery

Do not use the binaries from November 29 (v5a), only those from August 21 (v4b). The ones from November are broken, they have issues with Wi-Fi, mobile data and the like.

I solved the problem with the mobile data… I have turned off the unlocking function (pin)

So removing the PIN check, solves the supposed race condition and no multiple reboots are needed to get mobile working?

yes sir i have removed the pin check (sperrbildschirm)…and mobile data works without reboot…

So many funny surprises within this OS. Removin the Pin would never come to my mind I guess

Save your stupid comments you have not been asked

Oh, I meant the SIM PIN check and I not only have problems with mobile data but with mobile in general until I reboot a couple of times and by chance it works. If it isn’t working, it complains that the SIM isn’t inserted after unlocking the SIM with the PIN and I try to activate mobile if it doesn’t automatically.

I’m a heavily cellphone daily user and I migrated from iOS last year, tried postmakeros(oneplus) & ubuntu touch(oneplus/pixel), and finally chosen sailfish with Xperia 1ii at the last stop(1 IV/V also have a great possibilities when 10 IV/V reached a stable state I think). If you don’t always trying to catch with the latest firmware, and looking forward to a mostly open firmware and customizable android environment, besides android firmware are mostly can be privacy safety, I kind of feeling sailfishos is already the best bet, until there are good postmakeros candidates which also have a decent hardware, it could takes something like 3-5 years i felt.

Can I ask in passing pls - you use the fone part or do you mean you’re a heavy data user?

A fone is a fone is a fone. Sailfish scores on it being a great device not just a fone.

@eminarcissus

and finally chosen sailfish with Xperia 1ii at the last stop

So you choose the Port from Thaodan?
How it is? Speedwise and Cameras (Fotos), i know the Problem with the Videorecording, maybe it works under Waydroid with Opencamera?
