Flashed Sailfish onto Sony handset today but it constantly crashes. When trying to log into account, opening apps, on idle screen.
Paid for the handset specifically to try Sailfish, but really disappointed. Wasn’t this handset specifically supported?
I bought a Sailfish 10 IV as an upgrade from the 10 III that I use as my standard phone. I installed over whatever Android that it came with. I still use it as a fallback phone and it has shown none of the behaviour that you describe. I have just upgraded Sailfish to 5.2 with no problems, but I have not performed much testing. I have just watched some video on Amazon Prime Video.
I would try reflashing Sailfish, then test again.
Ok good to know and thank you! Updating to 5.1.0.11 from 5.0.0.78 so hopefully that fixes some stuff. There’s also no IMEI showing. How come?
Maybe your phone isnt a genuine Sony?
When there is no IMEI showing something went wrong while flashing probably. Revert it to Android and reflash SFOS (consider before if the community-port could fulfill your needs, could be the better option).
What kind of 10IV you have? Did you check, that you have the right version? E.g. Japanese Xperias wont work.
