Xperia 10 III Android downgrade

I Bought a xperia 10 III but it runs android 13 and the jolla compability list shows that the only supported versions are android 13,12 how to can i downgrade it ?

You need to use Sony’s Emma flashing tool do that. Here are the instructions to downgrade your Android version.

Since Emma is only published for Windows, you need to either have a Windows computer or run Windows in a virtual machine. I did the latter and had only minor issues, if I remember correctly, I had to repeat some steps in order to complete the task.

so i have to do it like this

  1. unlock bootloader
  2. flash the android 11 or 12 using xperia flash tool
  3. flash salifishos and enjoy
is that right. and beacuse i flashed android that device but i have licence for it will i right now login to jolla acount do i will need to buy a new licence

Yes, those are are the steps indeed. If you already have a license for that particular device, you don’t need to buy a new one. Once you have flashed SFOS, you can sign in to your Jolla account and enjoy the paid components.

Have a look at this thread: Android 13 and SailfishOS on Xperia 10 III
Installing Sailfish over Android 13 on Xperia10III seems to be no problem (but you should use the binaries for Android11 as said in the Install Instructions!)

I have installed Sailfish over android 13 and it’s working fine. Echo problem does not exist which was earlier when installing Sailfish over android 11.
