[Xperia 10 II] Magnetic Cover not working (Hall sensor fails)

DESCRIPTION:

Using a flip cover with magnetic lid does not turn on display when opening the lid

PRECONDITIONS:

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

  1. Put device into flip cover
  2. Enable flip cover usage in Screen Settings
  3. Close cover’s lid
  4. Open lid

EXPECTED RESULTS:

Display should turn on when opening lid and off when closing again

ACTUAL RESULTS:

Nothing happens

  • Patchmanager: yes
  • OpenRepos: yes
  • Chum: yes
  • Other: none specified

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

The test in CSD tool fails, with the cover as well as when using a strong magnet.

The phone was flashed drom Android 12.

I forgot to mention: I have played around with mcetools to enable LPM and double tap to wake up.
both are disabled again, though
