REPRODUCIBILITY: 100%
OS VERSION: 5.0.0.68
HARDWARE: Sony Xperia 10 iii
UI LANGUAGE: English
REGRESSION: n/a

DESCRIPTION:

On the first page of app drawer starting an app in three bottom rows requires two taps.

The first tap pulls the top menu. Second on then can start the application.

Note: the app in question is irrelevant. There is also no difference between native or android apps

Note: the second tap can be on any other app which then starts

Note: we can not reproduce the issue with the second app drawer page

Note: When pulling the app drawer only partly up everything taps on icons are working as expected

PRECONDITIONS:

There need to be enough apps installed to fill the first page of the app drawer

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

  1. Open the app drawer fully
  2. Tap on an app icon in one of the bottom three rows

EXPECTED RESULT:

The app opens

ACTUAL RESULT:

A small portion of the top menu becomes visible. The app does not start

MODIFICATIONS:

I would guess:

  1. Restart Lipstick (in Tools)

or

  1. Reboot

or

  1. Replace your Display.

Yup, can confirm with the same hardware and OS version.
I just tried, and now it is only the one bottom row. Mostly it is two rows, or maybe three.

I can reproduce this on my 10 III with the same OS version. In my case, with “Launcher combined patch [Fork]” patch, only the bottom two rows are affected.

This seems to get rid off the problem, but only for one time. When I try to launch an another app from the bottom rows, it takes two taps.

Likewise with me and it takes more versions.

I suspect is is this:

I too have it, at least most of the time. No patches or anything like that.

Yeah, I was thinking there was already bug filed. But I couldn’t find it.

This bug is a duplicate. Only difference seems to be that here it is the bottom three rows, not only the last
