Wrong service provider settings for SFR France

REPRODUCIBILITY: 100%
OS VERSION: 4.4.0.58
HARDWARE: Not relevant (XA2)
UI LANGUAGE: EN UK
REGRESSION: Don’t remember

DESCRIPTION:

Default MMS settings for the SFR network “Access Point Name” is wrong and not working.
Default SFOS “Access Point Name”: mmssfr
Working “Access Point Name”: sl2sfr

PRECONDITIONS:

Sfr subscription + SIM card.
SFOS phone

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

  1. Boot
  2. Try to send an MMS: will fail
  3. Change setting, retry: will succeed

EXPECTED RESULT:

MMS to be sent

ACTUAL RESULT:

Not sending MMS

MODIFICATIONS:

Change
Settings → Mobile Network → MMS Access Point → Acces point name
from
mmssfr
to
sl2sfr

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

It is now working :slight_smile:

Yes, I saw this other bug report. Made me think I wanted to do it too for SFR provider.
Du you mean I have to make a pull request?
How does it work? I just modify the file and it will be approved (or not) later?

Or you could ask @atlochowski to do it for you, they appear to be a proven submitter.

Yes, you have to make PR and then jolla will accept it.

I didn’t find the way to make a pull request on Github.
What is the procedure?

  1. You fork the repo to your github user.
  2. Checkout your clone.
  3. Make the edit.
  4. Commit the edit.
  5. Push the edit to github.
    6 Use the ‘contribute’ button in your fork of the repo to create a PR

You can also edit directly in the GH web-based editor once you have your fork.

After editing, commit to a new branch and create a PR from that.

You do not even have to fork the repo first. Just hit the edit button on the original repo and GH will automatically do the forking, and create a new branch.

Edit directly in GH by pressing the first edit button I saw. All the rest went auto and the request was pulled.
