Will the phone have wireless charging?

Will the new Jolla phone have wireless charging?

All the new cars for example have place to put phone to charge wirelessly.

It it is not in the specs the answer is all but guaranteed to be no.
Especially with the TOH concept it seems extra complicated to implement. Someone may make a TOH for wireless charging, but i guess that is if they become a thing.

I dont get it, why not to focus what masses want.

Wireless charging is standard. Mostly all of Those TOHs planned features are nonsense.

now its the time to replace US products, there is a demand for it. But with gadget to only geeks, wont do it. Jolla wake up, now its the time to get real market share.

If it has no wireless charging, I bet in all the reviews there will be listed that in the cons.

Nobody cares about keyboards or other freak stuff, its sad if Jolla only listens their niche forum which does not represent the actual need what is right now in europe.

I don’t get it, why do people conflate their own personal wants with what “everyone” needs.
It was brought up previously, and iirc did not really gain traction.
I have not seen anyone use one sine they came out and it was a fun cool feature - much like the fate of Siri.

I bet so too. But that is because there is nothing legitimately interesting t write in phone reviews and hasn’t been for 10 years. They are probably all AI now anyway.

If wireless charging is not a thing, why all phone vendors has it? Why all modern cars have it?

Expain that. I have data backing, its not my personal opinnion. If it failed 5 years ago that has nothing to do with todays needs.

wireless charging has shifted from a “nice-to-have” luxury to a core standard for mid-to-high-end smartphones. While wired charging still holds the speed crown, the wireless experience has finally matured into something fast, reliable, and magnetic. It is now common to find wireless charging pads built into restaurant tables, airline seats, and car center consoles as a default feature.

To tick boxes on the semi-automated reviews and bulk up the spec sheet.

If you want something that everbody wants, then by all means, please get an Android phone or an Apple device.

“Yes Jolla, good idea, yes, abandon us all and create a standard mainstream broadcast phone! With even lots of data leaks, if possible.”

Does wireless charging allow data leaks more than using USB cables on random charger looking devices?I think wireless actually lessens data leaks.

No, I ordered Jolla just because want to get rid of US dependency. I dont know how asking a wireless charging makes so many pissed?

I just want, as a Finn, Jolla to succeed. But according how narrow minded this forum looks to be, I may cancel the order.

Wow, this community has sense? I almost cancelled my order.

Sometimes you found in the crowd some loud individuals. That doesn’t mean that crowd is the same.

I’m pretty sure that TOH wireless charging can and will be done.

So there came the answers what I was looking for. I guess the teemagers went sleeping.

Thanks, will wait wireless charging option to charge more securely and safely. You know while driving, you can keep you eyes in the traffic situation when dropping the phone to vehicles middle console charging slot. But with cables, it can be fatal.

I really hope for toh is komming. Actyally we see under 9k preorders from needed 10k. :frowning:

I’ve never had wireless charging before but it has always been a thing I would’ve liked to have. I seem to have trouble keeping the usb holes working on phones and wireless charging could help with that.

I’m using wireless charging since the patch I bought for my FP2 in 2016.

I also bought an USB-C / Qi patch while buying the (officially recommended) Sony X10III. It’s thick (felt in the hand) and you’ll have to unplug it anytime you need real data transfert… but it’s the only option for this model.

I was wondering about the 66% efficiency (at best) regarding the 90% of cables… but I tried and found it comfortable (it’s worth the loss), especially to reload at night with a stand station (just drop it on the station).

I wish my car would have an intregrated Qi stand also.

But you can see that as just opinien and wish. And just share yours opinien if you wish. No need to be disappointed

Probably this was also the motto of Nokia, and look how that worked out for them.
