Will Sailfish support mainlining effort for officially supported devices?

Recently there has been new successful community effort to bring mainline Linux kernel to the Snapdragon 630 & others [1].
This directly relates to SailfishOS objectives, due to fact it’s shipped on Sony Xperia XA2 and 10, which using these chipsets.

Basic support is already inside official Linux kernel, I wonder if Jolla / SailfishOS dedicate any developers or resources to help this effort advance?

By helping this ongoing project could SailfishOS sooner benefit by being based on more modern kernel, including stability improvements, less security vulnerabilities, more features (e.g. Wireguard support out-of-box) and possibly better performance.

Thank you for reply
