[Wiki] Simple ToH ideas (3D printable)

Im curious in case of LoRa Node TOH how it woud be possible to implement something like Heltec Mesh Node T096 or similar into TOH? Placement of Antennas ect?

[Idea]
Just a really thick TOH thats heavier than the entire phone, but good at absorbing shocks so that it hopefully always falls on the back.
Easy to make - useless for using the phone again

In addition to @Demonia ‘s comments Regarding thickness etc:

Could you create one for a garmin mount as well? :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Not sure if the garmin mount can be centered on the phone, as i have around 60 mm from mount center to the front of my handle bar (the phone is twisted into the mount, hence it would probably need to be max some 50 mm fron the phone’s bottom).

OT: My hope/plan for future iterations of this would integrate a suitable ANT+ sensor through I2C/I3C.

Yep, already looked into that, its easy.

You could also attach a cat to the phone.

You, mean something like Otterbox but backside is part of phone itself and front shield connects to it with screws?

It was basically a fun idea to make the phone a literal brick xD
born from the annoyance of the camera wobble.
And yes @nephros: I hereby pledge to attach my phone with TOH to a cat so that the cat cant always run away when I want to pet it! Always ready to pet, always on the back of my phone!
…wait where is my phone now?

Be sure to have Stublefish active when you do that!!! So kitty can contribute to BeaconDB while on the prowl.

TOH which exposes a standard header for the pins. Such that diy jumper cables can be attached. This might aid in development of other tohs

You mean like TinkerTOH and similar projects for the original JP-1301?

Yep something like that but maybe even less diy perhaps the header could be directly built into toh so one just inserts gold pins or maybe it would be better to make it female so it does not even have to be unmounted since it can be held. Mechanics underneath could be some pogo pins ? Might be hard to do without some small PCB

hmmm. Or a stemma/quiic like connector … laying flat, male. Hmmm.
