On my C2, I have major wifi problems, that I would like to get some help with.
When I turn on wifi, it works for about a minute or so, and then, while staying connected to the network, I can’t transmit or receive any data.
To get to use the internet again, I need to turn off and on wifi again, and I have internet for another minute.
After doing this a couple of times, android app support crashes, and cannot be turned on again, until I reboot the phone.
The wifi problems are also there when android app support is not running.
This is since the latest update. Before this update, I had other problems that made wifi unusable. This is not any longer the case, but it might be relevant. Before the last update, having wifi enabled made my bluetooth connection unstable. On mobile data, I was (most of the time) able to use bluetooth without constant disconnections. Again, this is solved, but might be relevant.
Update:
I was having this problem for weeks now, with no changes. During writing this post, wifi stopped working all together. The only thing I changed was disabling starting android appsupport on startup. Now wifi doesn’t work at all anymore.
I would reflash to exclude hardware issues.
Thanks for your reply. I was hesitant to post here, because I expected it would in the end come down to reflashing. But I still really hope I won’t have to do that. A bit of a last resort measure.
One way to test hardware is builtin app CSD. Five taps on version number in Settings.

Great idea. Thanks. I knew of it, used it before, but didn’t think of it in this case.

Although in this case it is probably a hardware issue, WLAN on Unisoc phones is unfortunately a big mess in general, and the firmware seems to have some bugs too. I have experienced suspiciously similar problems with a custom wifi driver, but I’ve never seen this with the original Sailfish OS kernel.
@ThijssjihT Are you still able to scan for networks or is wifi completely broken?
I can scan, and even connect to networks, or be rejected by them. But I can´t do anything with the network.
After a short connection time, in which the network works as expected, right?
Only with Android apps or also with native apps?
I have just reflashed the phone. With minimal configuration (regular setup, installation of apps suggested during setup, and enabling developer mode), the problems keep being problems. I contacted jolla about it, and I hope they can help me.
