Which directory is the Bluetooth file received by Sailfish os usually placed in? He knows to put the picture file under the picture folder under the user’s home directory, but he doesn’t know which directory he put the zip compressed package file under? In addition, I would like to ask Bluetooth to send files. When receiving files, can you let him pop up a dialog box to let the user choose which directory to save the files in?

I remember wondering the same that one time I received a file via BT.
No matter what sort of file, it must be in one of the Capitalized folders in your home directory, i.e.:
Desktop
Documents
Downloads
Music
Pictures
Playlists
Public
Templates
Videos
But most likely in Downloads

Sending 4 files (separate transfers) from an android device to my Jolla C2:

  • The jpg image was placed in my Pictures folder.
  • The mp4 video was placed in my Videos folder.
  • Both the pdf document and the zip file were placed in my Documents folder.
  • I didn’t have an audio file to test.

I did not get to choose where to receive the files.

Consequently, I would guess that the Documents folder is the “catch-all” for anything that does not categorize as image, video, or (perhaps) audio.

On thing to note when looking for files is that due to the Sailjail Sandbox, whatever application you are using to find a file may not show it even though it is there.
You need to use either the command line, or an application which has the Sandbox disabled to be sure.
