My provider is turning off 3G, and now I am wondering what device I should get to replace my Xperia X (I use it as a kind of “burner phone” for companies I don’t want to give my primary phone number). I already own an Xperia 10 III which is my daily driver, but I wonder if I could get something different.
Per Jollas Documentation, only the Xperia 10 II and newer and the C2 support VoLTE.
Are there community port with working VoLTE (and more basis functions working than on the 10 V)?
Maybe the Volla Quintus . . . I don’t think anything else does, and I keep looking.

IIRC they last thing I saw @mal was still working on volte for the fp5 in May – I don’t think I’ve seen any further updates. That’d definitely be a nice device if volte can be made to work.

I don’t think he released it yet but its close to completion. For some god unknown reason, this bastard has volte working without having to do anything, meanwhile we have to use ubuntu plugin that may or may not work

@mal 's FP5 Port support VoLTE. I use this port as my daily driver. Works good.

Yeah, the port is still yet to be finished and published in some way. As for VoLTE, it does really work. It’s not behaving exactly as it should, call recording is broken, ofono doesn’t know that it exists, but you can do calls fine.
I swear, I have to get my ass up and do it once and for all.

Volla 22, x23 and quintus should all work. Not the original volla or volla x though.
