Checked permissions, all should be ok (contacts access is allowed);
it used to work with previous whatsapp versions.
Interestingly, saving via the “save as” from a group member list, works in opening up the contacts app.

The same on What’s App 2.23.20.76 on my X10-III.

Same here with Whatsapp 2.23.19.84 on my XA2 Ultra…

Something indeed has changed on WhatsApp. Thus, contacts saving to native side no longer works. As far as I remember it should be opening native contact card with prefilled information.

It does open the native contact card when you tap “lisää tietoja”, whatever that is in English.

That is correct; however, it includes the name as “nickname” and not as name/surname fields.
