On the top menu there are two buttons - ‘Do Not Disturb’ and ‘Silent’. Both appear to mute all sound for incoming calls, messages, notifications, etc. So what is the difference between these two settings?
Do not disturb does not silence alarms (e.g. calendar reminders), which Silent is doing.
There’s also a third way of silencing things, which is setting tones in an Ambience to “no Sound”.
‘Silent’ will also turn off system sounds like keyboard click and app closing sound. DnD oesn’t.
Thanks all - understood now!
