No software optimisations (and I highly doubt someone with only intention of laundering state money is capable of optimising anything) are worth it if you voluntarily put yourself under russian surveillance. Aurora is officially backed by FSB, they implemented their certificates into system and did who knows what else.
I have some trust in Jolla as independent Finnish company, especially when they cut their ties with russia. In this context, tinkering with russian software to find something useful is at most foolish or waste of time at the very least
