There is no setting to cut of internet completely from applications which would be useful.

You could use my script which you run from the Terminal as root:

BTW, it’s more advanced & less buggy than the “AAS Net Access Manager” app someone mentioned, as that was based on the very first release of my script, and I’ve made many improvements since (plus the way the app reloads the firewall rules may cause problems eventually). The biggest advantage is my script has an “allow list” mode, where all AAS apps are blocked by default.
