Videos not always shows in gallery from SD card

DESCRIPTION:

  1. Download video from android brower / sailfish browser
  2. Unlock and mount SD card
  3. Move the video file to SD card
  4. Lock and unmount sd card
  5. Unlock and mount sd card
  6. Not show in galley

Yes, I agree. In addition, I do not think steps 4 and 5 are necessary - going from 3 to 6 exposes the same problem.
Running “Refresh media database” in Sailfish Utilities makes the moved videos appear in the Gallery.

I’ll file a bug on this.

Yes. That did fix, but after, the bugs came again

I am guessing here but it is probably so that mounting the SD card does not (always) trigger the Tracker to index/harvest the media files again.
