Hello Jolla users,
We have 4 XPeria X devices in the family, all with the latest software. All devices were purchased with the license for Android apps, in total 200€. We bought this license to finance the Jolla development, but never used the Android app (4.4) support. Now we need to buy new hardware, Sony XPeria 10 III + Jolla. Since we will have to use but temporarily Android app support, need this functional and mandatory…
On 2 of the 4 devices, new versions of Jolla are not automatically found, each time procedure via su and terminal… These two devices also do not offer installation of Android app support (4.4). How can one (have paid for it) install this Android app support now. This is not offered in the store.
Furthermore, since the last version of Jolla, the hot spot unfortunately no longer works, and this for months.
We now ask ourselves whether it makes sense to continue to believe in the good Jolla approach or to leave Jolla and go to another alternative platform.
How do you see these existing problems and their future solution?
Do you try to install Android Support using the old license from Xperia X on the the new device? That will not work, the license is only valid per device.
Hello,
thank you for the answers. All 4 devices as XPeria X are the original devices for what we bought the licenses, The hardware ID is listed each time in the respective account. Unfortunately the account does not list if it is a paid or free account, Android support issue. All 4 devices have their own Jolla account. None are 10 III, no license duplication at all…

The missing Android app support problem can probably be solved if you open a ticket there. To make it easier to figure out, make sure to include account usernames, Sailfish X purchase IDs and device IMEIs in the ticket.
