Hey,
i already realized a few times that using the Jolla mail client at the same time then the browser will freeze the browser or slow it down a lot. Has anybody else witnessed that behaviour? And shouldn’t this be filed as a bug? If i remember it right, the mail client is also using the gecko engine, so it might be taking performance off the browser, correct me if i am wrong.
Xperia 10II using the latest SFOS version
Thanks in advance
Greetings
Where exactly are you getting the slowdown? Just used webview from sfos forum app, browser open since a while ago, opened email client and a message, seems to work fine on C2, switching between all 3 no problems/slowdowns

Sorry forgot to posr that, i edited my actual post. I don’t know but for me i already often had a nearly freeze of the browser, while having the mail client open. I don’t know if there is a coincidence, but apparently closing the mail client helps. Otherwise i also often close and reopen the browser, so that the webpage that got stuck, reloads

But maybe its also the websites i am browsing, and a lot of trackers in combination with a missing popup-böocker freezes or blocks the browser. And as i understood that the mail client is using the browser engine, using it at the same time gets it worst. I often have to restart like several time, like websites will ger stuck at some point, but also some websites are not displayed correctly. Elements and content are disapearing. Try f. ex Bild.de they have a lot of trackers, but for me a lot of the website will not be displayed…
Maybe the combo of heavy websites + some other resource-hungry app just uses up your RAM. Seriously, Bild.de without protection?
Also try yourself to narrow it down more.
And install Crest from Openrepos to monitor RAM (RSS in the app) and CPU usage.
