Using bank cards inside the protective case

With the new Jolla phone coming in a couple months I’ve ordered with it the protective case and I’m kinda curious to know;

Can a bank cards contactless payment work if I put it inside the protective case and just tapped my phone on card machines that way? Or will the protective case block the signal?

I know it’s not wise to put a bank card with your phone incase you lose both at the same time but I’m left with no choice, I have used my iphone for contactless payments for so long now that I just don’t carry a wallet with me anymore. If using a bank card behind the protective case can functionally work then I don’t need to worry too much!

Since the Jolla phone doesn’t come with accessorised cases like a 2 in 1 wallet phone case this seems like the only way. I suspect I may even 3d print some accessories like desk stands for the phone since there’s no standardized ones that exist for the Jolla.

I think your approach will work - the case is Not blocking anything. The only thing which could block is the Jolla Phone NFC Reader which is implemented there.

I swich as well from iPhone and I bought a smart wearable (bracelet, but there are also rings or watch-bracelets) which works pretty well - you can Connect your Bank Card to it.)

I think I have also Seen some Reports of working Google Pay Services, which is Like Apple pay, but it’s Not guaranteed thats it’s working.

to sum it up: You can give it a try with the Bank Card in the case and if it’s Not working you can buy a wearable or something
