Update on my Pre-order for September 2026 batch

Hello, I pre-ordered a Jolla 12/256gb in white color sometimes in April, it was meant to be for the September 2026 batch but I have not received any updates despite 5 emails sent.

Can i please have an update on my order?

any help is apprecited

Sam

Please stop sending them emails and rather use search here.

It’s probably unusual for many people but Jolla communicates here and on their Mastodon.

Also … it’s not September yet. So … why the panic?
What update do you want? “Yup, not September yet, see you in a week!”?

Sending them 5 emails about a shipment which is not scheduled for at least a month anyway will not improve the response time at all.

While there is nothing to update on your specific order as it is not due for some time yet, check out the posts in The Official Jolla Blog category here on the forum if you are interested in following how the phone project is going. You can also subscribe to that category to get email notifications when Jolla posts new things there (use the notification bell icon and choose for example the option “Watching First Post”).

ok got it thx for the heads up

been emailing them for 3 months just to change something on the order but with no responses, was getting frustrated.

anyway they should have at responded with a generic email, nothing…

it is not how you deal with customers

I can understand your feeling if you just arrived.
“Knowing” Jolla since a long time, I’m very prone to believe answers will come.

Personally, I feel more like a supporter than like a customer.
Hence, I don’t feel they owe me anything, as I believe they do their best to fulfill the projects.
It is also in the deal: I back early, I have a lower price, I take a risk.

Fair enough, I also like to support people trying to build alternatives ways for us, i guess i just got a little worried.

it’s all good now since there is this community, i am happy.

Cheers

Jolla should really set up an automatic out-of-office reply that tells people something like:

  • It can take weeks to months for us to reply to your email because due to the huge popularity of the new phone, we’re receiving thousands of emails and there’s only a few people here to answer everything, but we’ll get back to you.
  • If you need to change anything about your order, use this or that keyword in the title of your email so it automatically gets filtered into a priority inbox.
  • For other questions, take a look at the forum, search if anyone else has had the same question or create a new topic. Most questions can and will swiftly be answered by the community.
  • We try to communicate news first and foremost through the forum, and Jolla employees also follow discussions where possible.

@Jolla Have you thought about setting up something like this to hopefully reduce email workload?

I just sent an email to Jolla to ask if they thought about it.
Then sent a few more emails since i didnt get a reply today, maybe they got my first mail in spam?

Edit: It has been now a week… I send them now email daily to ask if they recieved my previous email.

You may also want to send a follow-up email to follow-up on whether they received your follow-up email to your first email

Aaaand that’s how they get swamped.

And just to be really sure, they may want to put in a question early for next community meeting if the follow-up email to the follow-ups was seen! (/s) Or maybe ask them on social media first and then if they don’t magically see it there, link your social media post asking for a follow-up to the follow-up in the community meeting. Just to make it as hard as possible for them!

Personally, after two weeks, I would proceed to a private army of highly trained carrier pigeons, wearing both my print-out version of my request, as well as speakers, repeating a spoken version of it on full blast. Preferably sent out at night. You know, so they have a chance to hear them. Just in case.

It won’t be long before someone is queuing up at the Jolla office door one morning, waiting for answers from employees coming to work

I think you should stop saying this stuff already. I’ve been watching this for a long time and it’s always email, email, email.

If they don’t want the emails to get mixed up, then there should already have been clearly designated email addresses for people who bought the phone. That way, replies coming from those addresses could be categorized more easily and things wouldn’t get so mixed up. Am I wrong?

Basically, the Jolla Phone has probably been out for more than six months, and who knows how many people have written on the forum during those six months telling others to stop emailing them. You can’t stop this.

It’s the same with any problem: only a solution can stop a problem. You’re not providing a solution, you’re just talking.

I do not understand why people act this way (e-mail stalking) all the information you Need is in these threads , you just have to read them carefully so you understand.

Good point.

Idea: instead of talking, start listening. Instead of writing emails, read the mails you got. Instead of spamming the forum, read the information provided.
While doing this, use that brain of yours.

And please for the love of all the gods that don’t or do exist, stop lecturing Jolla on what they should do. (At least for a week or so!)

I am listening, talking, writing, and reading. I’m not just criticizing here, I have also suggested solutions. If they were going to do it, they would have done it already. There is no need to keep attacking people with “email, email”.

What I see is an email conflict that has been going on for 6 months, and it won’t stop. If you had read my post, the short summary was clear: shouting doesn’t matter if there is no solution.
