Thanks! I had to go the Storeman route, and after a reboot, everything got working!
So, now I’ve got Angelfish
installed on my phone. Yeay!!! Thank you guys a lot for your support! More, the Amaze
file manager is now gone.
But will I use Angelsfish as my daily browser…? No, I don’t think so.
The first website I tried to open, refused to open: “The browser needs to be updated etc. etc.”
The second one, a popular news site, I could only see half of the titles and the images; the scaling is a mess, really… Any hacks to fix this?
Well, that’s no wonder. This is what I picked up from another thread:
So yeah… I guess all I can do is to settle for my Vivaldi
then…
But was this journey useless…? No, not at all! I learnt many things how the SF-system works (and how it does not); I got introduced to Storeman
and Chum GUI
; and last but not least, I learned not to trust the hallucinations of AI, and now I know better!
Just one final question! If I ever need to use a terminal on my Jolla C2, what do you recommend? Well, I know you recommend me to disable my Developer mode
immediately, lol! But is there any other application for running command line in Sailfish — without Developer mode?
Cheers and thanks!
