Do you have MicroG installed?

yes it is. it is ON my settings “allow running microG services”. or need it something else

Time to compose a SFOS Tori app…and Tori.fi (Android) has 5 trackers. Better ask your spouse to install it or use some Android backup phone for that.

You need to actually install it. What you did by that setting is you enabled MicroG to impersonate Google Play Services, but that does nothing if you don’t install them. (If anyone from Jolla is reading this: The old naming was much, much better.)

The easiest way to install it is through F-Droid:

  • install F-Droid if you don’t have it installed yet
  • add the MicroG repo to F-Droid: microG F-Droid repo
  • install apps from that repo
    • there will be multiple:
      • microG Services - the actual Play Services replacement
      • microG Companion - for setting up MicroG
      • microG Services Framework - no idea, something with legacy push or whatever, install it anyway
  • open MicroG settings on your home screen, go to Self-Check and enable all permission one by one
    • go through the other sections as well, enable whatever interests you

Most apps should work with that setup. Note that some apps actively check whether the phone OS is genuine Google certified Android (which Jolla/SailfishOS is not) and this won’t help with them.

When you tap on “Kirjaudu sisään” (=“Login”), a login page is opened in a browser. The stock browser has some issues handling some of the stuff on that page and no fields for signing in are showed. However, if you paste the link to an Android browser, such as Firefox, you can now sign in.

EDIT: no microG needed
