I tried it but all this hassle was no use: its the same Tor Browser app as the already installed one from the Aurora Store (F-droid shows it as installed already). Also the Orbot (which is required separately to connect to Tor network) is in the Aurora Store (and also apparently the same as in F-droid).
In other words this whole attempt is exactly then in square one and the Guardian repo does not open any new doors 
So as can be seen, its the very same Tor Browser as from Aurora Store and is indicated as already installed by F-droid after adding the Guardian repository.
Where did you see that Orbot is required for Tor Browser to connect to the Tor network? I just downloaded Tor Browser from Aurora Store and was able to connect without anything else. Orbot is a proxy app used to route other Android appsā traffic through the Tor network. It shouldnāt be necessary for Tor Browser itself.
Well thatās why i am now bloody confused. When i first installed Tor Browser from Aurora Store, i sure was greeted with SOME kind of indication (canāt remember exactly) that āthis is only a browser for Tor network and it needs accompanying Orbot to make all traffic go through Tor networkā.
Iām sure of this because otherwise i would have started to use the thing. Is it possible that in this time (and there was an update in queue as you can see) these (or something) have been actually MERGED!?
I tested it and it DOES WORK 
I am no stranger to Tor Browser and would have just truly tapped connect and started testing around websites.
Solution (IF some kind of merge update truly occured between start of this thread and today) is to simply install the official Tor Browser from Aurora Store 
Hereās for future hoping: a native Sailfish OS port installable from āthe supposed main storeā Jolla Store.
There can be differences between the versions from the Aurora and f-droid stores.
