Text prediction broken for german in 4.2.0.19

DESCRIPTION:

Predictive text input is broken for german, english works fine.
The word suggestions are shown, but taking them by clicking does not work.

PRECONDITIONS:

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

  1. Turn on german language for text input in keyboard
  2. Open e.g. notes
  3. Type in a word and select a suitable suggestion shown on top of keyboard

EXPECTED RESULT:

Selected word should be written in the notes app

ACTUAL RESULT:

Selected word not written in the notes app

If the selected word gets selected (i.e. highlighted) and stays in that state and additionally the whole text prediction bar becomes not scrollable, then this is a known issue - the release notes are mentioning that this is going to be fixed with the upcoming 4.2.0.21 release.
