As most retailers have stopped offering the versions of Xperias at the time Jolla is able to supply their OS, would it an idea for Jolla to wholesale a bunch of Xperias for which they intend to adapt their OS, and sell it retail to us once they are ready for it?
Well, this was not really a question but rather just a thought.
And where is the money for the phones coming from? Are the phones considered assets or liabilities, cause they might be able to sell it or not. Moreover the value of the phones will depreciate in time. For the business point of view, is a very bad idea to block the money in the phones. Are you willing to pay in advance for the phones that you might/might not get in 2-3 years?
The Sailmates association (which i’m part of) has a service to sell second hand phones with Sailfish OS running on it:
Looks like a very nice effort !
Do you have tablets to, or just phones? I’m very interested in a good Linux tablet, preferable Sailfish.
unfortunately no member for now has experience flashing tablets (i’m also not aware if it was done already)

Well they’ve obviously got enough money to buy another 1,000 Reeder phones to turn into C2s, so they’re not totally out of funds.
