This thread is only for the fun of it!
I tried Stumblefish from @abranson for the first time with the new Jolla Phone and very much like it. Happy to be doing geolocations work better for many.
Now that Jolla Phone is a monster of a GPS machine - that fixes location in no time (atleast in my experiences) - it’s really fun to see map uncovered in real time with the Stumblefish’s map page.
In the thread: Little things I enjoy using SFOS / Jolla Phone - #47 by lumen I posted about this and then when @ljo replied with his map, I came to think that it would be nice to share Stumblefish maps with each others.
Of course this can be sensitive personal data to some of us, so please share only if you feel comfortable about it.
I ended up almost doing a Sailfish logo on top of Finland, which was a happy coincidence:
Maybe @abranson could add feature to the app, where you can opt in (don’t sign up people who don’t want to participate) to the app sending the tile/cell information to some kind of backend, and the data would be used on a website that would display all the tiles/cells collected by SFOS users around the world, so we can see how much of the Earth’s surface we can cover collectively?
And this is my complementary collection mostly from Sweden but with Copenhagen and Helsinki as well. We had some rain today, so missed a few hours, when the grandchildren thought the rain did not made it fun enough
I will upload more, when I’ve finally gotten my new JP2, which is actually on its way. Strangely enough, it’s coming in two packages, according to Bring,
