Strange behavior with WhatsApp

Hello,

since an update of WhatsApp last Saturday morning, I have the following problem: I can receive the messages, but it is impossible to send messages. I tried with two different persons, and after two other updates, there is no change. Did you have the same problem, or do you have a clue about it ?
Phone: XPeria 10 III, Sailfish 5.0.0.76, Aurorastore

Edit: there is no difference between 4G connection and a wifi connection.

Did you try to install older version of Whatsapp?

No, I did not try a downgrade.

Which WhatsApp version do you have now? I have version 2.26.22.8 (Beta), and it runs on my Xperia 10 III (SFOS 5.0.0.77) and it works. I think my version is from Aptoide not from Aurora Store.

I have version 2.26.32.2.

I checked it and today is 2.26.23.2 at aptoide… But I will not test it after you warning…

I have also some problems to see messages sent in a group. I can also see when a contact is online. It is very strange…

I use additional whatapp web. Maybe it that a trick to fix it?

I have exactly the same issue.
Have actually had on multipe devices, in the past ~15 months id say. Especially in group chats it shows.
The next thing is then the downloads not starting/completing. Anyone else had those yet?

WhatsApp installed on a privacy focus phone?

Very off topic, but to keep contact with people that haven’t switched. This ain’t all or nothing, all steps to right direction counts

Hopefully in the future many can get rid of it, but currently many still need it for some contacts

Sometimes I uded this as 2. app but now it work not more. Maybe we should work on it or contact the developer. Its only a web viewer and you need one phone with WA.

If I start the native App sailfish-qml harbour-whatsapp in terminal I get this under 5.0.0.77. I remember me, that this works under SFOS4.xx in 2025.

Here is a small update about this issue. After the last available updates of SFOS (5.1.0.11) and WhatsApp (2.26.24.9), the problems are still here…

Do you know the version that was still working before you updated?
