Storeman SSL certificate error

When I attempt to install any package via Storeman, there is notification error that reads:

Downloadd (curl) error for ‘https://sailfish.openrepos.net/mrbn100ful/personal/main/repodata/repomd.xml’:
Error code: Curl error 60
Error message: SSL certificate problem: self signed certificate

How to diagnose? Any pointers?
I’m new to sailfish
Thanks

What device is this? What version of SFOS?
Something ancient and outdated?

xperia xz2

latest SFOS ver.

Please spell out the version as reported by your phone, as this helps people finding this thread in the future.

5.0.0.67 the version is

And that’s why we ask - 5.0.0.67 is not the latest SFOS version. 5.1.0.11 is :grinning_face:

There was a SSL problem some weeks ago but it’s gone now. if you still experience certificate problems it really must be because of your old SfOS version.

Xperia XZ2 is a community port (OP could have mentioned this) and at the moment 5.0.0.67 is the newest version available for that. Probably just expired cert files on the port.

is there a command that can update the certificates on sailfish?

I have version 5.1.0.11 on an Xperia 10 iii and I am seeing this curl error as well. I don’t get it all the time, but perhaps 50% of the time when I try to download new apps or update existing ones.

OpenSSL complaining about a ‘self-signed certificate’ does not seem to indicate a problem on the client side, or expired root certs…

BTW, solving the issue won’t let you install Atlantic, it needs SFOS 5.1 and ARMV8/64bit

I did not state anywhere on this forum that this is what I wanted to install. What makes you think this?

Cause mrbn100ful is my repo and it only contains Atlantic :sweat_smile:

A lucky guess, pick one of these.

i will admit i was paranoid but now i can see, the repo author is in the error message in the initial post … i can rest east now thanks

bump any more clues?

In Storeman tap Repositories, long press on the repo, choose Disable or Remove.

@Ahtisilli

misunderstanding;

ssl error appears before any repo is installed , during install

@ohnonot What about this suggestion made earlier in the thread?
