Hello! I have the Xperia 10ii with Sfos, spotify doesnt seem to play any songs, is there something i can do to it?
Or is there some working client? Hutspot seems to be gone
Tidal works and pays much more to the artists…
I mostly listen to podcasts, seems that tidal doesnt have those that i listen
for podcasts you can use gpodder, you have to add the (rss-) link manually though
Does sound work in other android apps? I am using spotify on the xa2, 10mk2 and c2 - it should work without any issues.
Ok thanks for the tip
There’s also podquast
Hutspot is not gone, see here: Native Spotify on SailfishOS (with Hutspot/Librespot)
Just to clarify:
- podQast is not developed anymore. Can’t find it now but I’m sure @cy8aer themselves said it.
- gPodder does not require one to enter the RSS URL manually, it has a discover podcasts feature.
This.
But I would agree with @tuplasuhveli that maybe we/I should switch to tidal.
To use hutspot on your device, librespot 0.5.0 is available (e.g. here, instructions to use here), but I have a hard time building it for 32-bits Building cargo / rust software on community OBS - #6 by vlagged and didn’t progressed
Okay thanks, maybe i have to try hutspot or change to tidal+ gpodder
You can definitely see if gpodder works for you in parallel, and test hutspot + librespot integration (word of warning: most of us use hutspot with sandboxing disabled, not sure if it is by default in the chum build).
Then try a trial account for tidal. I mean, I did that at new year’s eve and has expired, should try again since there were many improvements in the app as far as I saw from the comments… but I would need to use a new email address for a new trial
Thank you sir, i really appreciate that people are trying to help eachother here.
I was a huge lover of Nokia N9 and Meego, still have it working on a drawer.
So i really would like this to work as a prime phone, i have never liked using android, but have to use it for some apps…
And i think world needs a 3rd proper phone os
