For a few years now, I’ve been trying to start the Android Sportschau app (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.apptelligence.sportschau.android) from time to time. It is only loaded for a short time and the logo is shown and then the app crashes. Is this a common Android issue? Maybe for some certain circumstances of certain Android apps under Sailfish OS?
This app requires google service framework. Do you have microg on your device?

OK. I don’t have any google service installed (extra not). Neither does microg. But all other popular apps work though.
I tried to install it and start it and it worked with microG installed.
I do understand why you don’t want microG/ Google Services, but in this case perhaps you shouldn’t install the Spirtschau-App either, as it contains the Google Firebase Analytics, according to Exodus: https://reports.exodus-privacy.eu.org/de/reports/411150/
