Hello Jolla team. I have Jolla First Edition, and i have some issues with speakers and microphones. Becouse i working metalindustrie and tiny metalships stuck speakers and microphone. So i hope so much at Jolla make some upgrades to speaker and microphone protections. Best regards Harry
Yeah that is a problem with ip67 and up devices too. There is only a small membrane in the speaker opening that holds back the water. If an object pierces it, it is no longer watertight.

That’s a really good point, especially for anyone using their phone in industrial settings like the metal industry! It’s not just about water resistance (as cy8aer mentioned), but the physical barrier against tiny, sharp debris. Hopefully, the Jolla team can incorporate some kind of fine-mesh filter or a more robust solution in future hardware designs.
