AppSupport from 10 V seems to work, though for some reason app install doesn’t add icons to the app launcher grid. Does somebody know which package takes care of that?

The separate license for AAS is definitely doable.

EDIT: Removed one package and the icons showed up after a reboot. Camera doesn’t work in AAS, will check tomorrow why.

And taking into account that lineage is there for it, it is expected to be simpler than this port. Just needs someone wishing to step up and work on it

Okay, also got camera working in AAS. The normal Android intent name is different than in AOSP.

(Though currently crashes on shoot:)

EDIT: Interestingly enough, the AOSP camera works and takes photos, but not all other camera apps I tested. Not sure what to look for in journalctl, there’s so much other noise in there.

I’ve received my fingerprint reader and installed it today, so now I have a fully functioning device (the reader works:).

Also, double tap to wake really fixes the delay to power the screen, maybe it just doesn’t get into deep sleep when this is on.

It does go to sleep with d2w, based on collectd. No problem with suspend

I did promise to get around publishing builds for 5 IV this week, unfortunately I did not have time to update the lineage build / proprietary files. I did however uploaded my old build (that I am using) as an EARLY sfos base (“early” being the key word) and did an sfos image build of 5.0.0.71-testing but which is not .. tested. So forgive my sloppines, take the uploaded assets with a grain of salt, attentively follow ringus’ documentation on flashing and if something feels wrong point it out.

What does “early” mean? It means that you may have to drop to fastboot later to re-flash newer images after I rebuild them. It may also mean that I may not remember what state was that build made from - but that will also be fixed when I freshly build.

So test images then. I would say better than nothing - much better.
Thank you! I will give 'em a try this weekend.

It seems like somebody is not wanting me to use Sailfish on a proper device.
I have checked that everything is working on my Xperia 5IV, what I haven’t checked was the model I got because it was clearly stated it is a XQCQ54. Now I wasn’t able to unlock bootloader and therefore checked the model. It’s a SOG09 - GREAT!!!

I fear I’ll have to send this device back and have to look for another one.

That’s a proper bummer! I have added section on front page of the port with specific list of the models. For some reasons, unlocking is not allowed in all models.

Sony is writing it clearly on it’s website, that not all phones are able to be unlocked. I have no clue why. Anyway I wonder why the seller - a bigger ebay seller which is specialized on used and refurbished Smartphones - doesn’t state the right model number. I will report how it works out.

Never owned a Sony, so it seems very weird that you can unlock one phone but not another one, even if they’re the same model ? (e.g. you can unlock one 5IV but not another one)

If you look at Sony Xperia 5 IV - Wikipedia , this model is some special model for Japanese mobile operator.

Yeah, and there are some sellers on EBay that advertise to sell XQ-CQ54, but it is actually not. Fell for that too and later bought one from a local seller here, which only “forgot” to tell me that the fingerprint reader was broken.
