Some android apps crash on start with the new Jolla phone. Same apps worked without problems in my previous phone (Xperia 10 III, 5.1.0.11)

is there way to get google maps working? it works on c2 but now just closes immediatly after opening. puremaps is ok but dont find all smaller roads…
op mobiili needed that old fix what was in op mobiili bug topic. then is stays open.
I will work on updating Play Services integration for J2 A15… sometime soon.
You can try HereMaps, not OpenSource, but at least not BigTech.
I would maybe add whatsapp, it also has a location share issue. When someone shares their location and keeps crashing every time I try to open the chat, I’m not sure if its a regression with 5.2 or is it a MicroG/WhatsApp issue. I already mentioned it here

Also Eufy app ( for anker cameras) fails, starts but closes asap.
Works ok, with old xperia +sf5.1
i made that account and got api key and tried. it looks way better than basic maps but again it doesnt Found house numbers on small gravel roads in countryside. But it is quite good still. 
I forgot about the OP mobiili fix. Now it works. Ffupdater still crashes though.
We noticed the ffupdater thing, and think it’s this upstream bug: Instant crash with NPE after installation · Issue #779 · Tobi823/ffupdater · GitHub
So should be fixed in the next release of that.

The whatsapp crash is fixed in devel, but I don’t think it’s released yet.

Oh and Google Maps is still a work-in-progress. It should eventually work fine with microG, without Google Play, but it’s having refresh rate issues.

That is quite nice addition, I don’t use it anymore for anything else than checking opening hours and addresses of different places. I find it easier to use app compared to through browser
