[Solved] Wifi AP : associated OK, IP assignement OK, sharing KO

Hi all,

I have the latest Jolla phone with 5.2.0.18 sailfishOS version.

I enable Wifi Access Point with my Jolla.

I connect my fairphone to wifi Jolla.

-associated OK

-IP assignement OK → 172.28.172.2

-sharing KO → No Internet connection on fairphone device

Missing firewall rules ?

Wifi AP aka Hotspot works fine here, both my laptop and an Android phone get connected just fine (and other devices in the past). But only IPv4.

The idea is that the JP has mobile broadband internet and forwards this to the Fairphone via wifi hotspot, yes?

Have you checked on the FP if it’s probably “only” a name resolution problem?
Via terminal: ping 9.9.9.9 what do you get?

I will try to check APN mobile data problem !

Thanks, it was an APN problem for bouygues telecom B&you for me.

  1. Nom : Bouygues Telecom
  2. APN : mmsbouygtel.com
  3. Nom d’utilisateur, mot de passe, proxy et port : laisser vides
