This seems not related to this other thread (which is quite technical for me to comprehend) [C2] Mobile network unavailable, ofono crashes badly, continuously, dumps core - #2 by nephros
But yes, so i bought a prepaid mobile service from DNA in means of setting up an alternate whatsapp and Telegram accounts (and phone number) usage in means of workplace. So dual SIM thing. Installed Yottagram from Storeman (next to the official Telegram client on Jolla C2) to set it up putting the new prepaid SIM’s phone number (as starting Yottagram for the first time) in hopes to receive that activation SMS. It never came. The same prepaid SIM card DOES send and receive on a regular Android phone no problem, so the trouble is not the card or funds on it.
SMS sending and receiving works as usual on my regular mobile connection carrier and SIM (not prepaid), but switching the dual SIM situation to that prepaid SMS and connection makes all SMS messaging void.
Mobile data (so internet browsing) does work on this prepaid as all is switched on in settings, but can’t send or receive SMS via this prepaid card. Is some setting tinker required on phone’s settings to make the prepaid one work with SMS?
Is this some kind of work in progress or does someone have any clarification why this might be? Thank you very much in advance as i’m puzzled.
