I have an XA2 with the latest version 5.1.0.11. I noticed this on previous versions as well. The problem is that when my phone is completely off and I send a text message from another number to the phone that’s off, or someone sends me a message at the same time, I don’t receive the text message when I turn it on, but the phones from which the messages were sent receive a delivery report. I suspect this is a general problem, affecting all phones. Can you test it on other phones?
It’s a known issue. It helps if you enable SIM PIN that will not happen. But then it can happen that sending doesn’t work. In that case search the forum for command to restart the service. Also known issue but no data loss.
My father in law send me a sms when my phone was off, or with no network, so i never got his birthday wishes, and he didn’t believe me they didn’t get through. Something like that did not happen on former versions of SFOS…
Not sure if this is relevant, but I’ve now couple time experienced SMS’ arriving several hours (even almost 24hs) late. This mostly happens with certain people, and happens very rarely without any explanation on either end’s location/reception etc. Restarting the phone or toggling airplane mode on/off doesn’t seem to help. This is on Xperia 10-II, both SIMs have PIN on. When the message arrives the date/time shown is the original time when sent.
Ok, thanks for the information. I had problems sending and I didn’t have a PIN set up. Is this the command to fix sending sms systemctl --user restart mission-control-5 ?
