simple torch from jolla store needs a whole lot off permissions on first start. That must be a mistake. I would like to use it, but I’m not willing to allow these permissions. Can someone proof this? Thanks in advance.
That’s because that app is before Sailjail. So it gets default permissions despite needing none. If you’ll search for more you’ll find it.
BTW, what’s wrong with the torch icon that you need separate app?

which one do you mean? The one in quick settings does use the flash light. Yes this is nice and helpful too, but I would like to use the screen light with timer function. Like lumolight in f-droid.
thank you, good to know.

It’s that app that just keeps the screen white, right?

Big F*#!%y Text (from Jolla Store) is great for quickly showing a white screen. Just open, hold and tap “Clear”
Bonus: you can show text to people on the other end of the room. It only requires images, media index permission to be able to load a background.
