Share contact to SMS fails: "Could not load sharing app"

DESCRIPTION:

Contact sharing through SMS does not work.

PRECONDITIONS:

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

  1. Enter the People utility
  2. Tap a contact
  3. Select “Share” from the pull down menu
  4. Tap “SMS” in the “Share contact” modal
  5. “Could not load sharing app” appears

EXPECTED RESULT:

I expect the Messages utility to start (or come to foreground if running already) with some suitable representation (vCard?) of the contact loaded in the “Message” field.

ACTUAL RESULT:

“Could not load sharing app”

You have to use MMS.
SMS share plugin is 3rd party plugin which is not compatible with newest OS version

If you want working SMS share plugin you have to contact with plugin developer, not with Jolla.

Ah, you’re right. I forgot I had to install a 3rd-party program to bring this function I’ve taken for granted since Nokia 5110 to this “smart phone”. :slight_smile:
