Shadow Line - A 3D mesh world clock showing sunrise, sunset and length of days

I wanted to have a world clock that displays sunset, sunrise and length of days and looks native. So I created this app in collaboration with Xiaomi MIMO.

It uses the location permission for adding your current exact location without having to know the coordinates.

Compatibility

Known to work:

  • Xperia X (armv7hl)

  • Xperia 10 III (aarch64)

  • Jolla C2 (aarch64)

  • Jolla Phone 2026 (aarch64)

In v1.2.2 I fixed the rendering issues for older devices.

Oh very cool. I thought that the clock app is missing the world time and this goes even a few steps further

I tested it on J2 and C2. It works very well, thank you! It’s a great start. I very much like the option to move the globe and the continues rotation. Also, seeing the pined cities on the globe is a nice idea. Before, I was using Worldclock by Arno Dekker, which currently is maintained by Ade. A few nice things from that one could be merged if possible, e.g. a more compressive city list and an option to add/pin one or two more cities to the cover. I do not know how difficult it could be to add flags to the cities but I guess this would a lot of work and who would appreciate it.
