DESCRIPTION:

Connections to a vodafone cable network wifi router are unstable and laggy, since the first dns entry provided by vodafone is an ipv6 address which SfOS doesn’t seem able to handle.
Unfortunately, it’s not possible to change the vodafone default dns settings in the router. Thus, Wifi cannot reliably be used when connecting to Vodafone cable modems.

PRECONDITIONS:

Jolla phone. Vodafone cable ipv6 contract. Vodafone cable router.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

  1. Connect the phone to the router
  2. Try to browse the internet
  3. Be anoyed due to lags and instability

EXPECTED RESULT:

A smooth web experience

ACTUAL RESULT:

It sucks.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

This condition could easily be avoided if there was an option to manually set the dns server while retrieving ip configuration by dhcp.

Edit: Added screenshot containg the configuration as obtained by dhcp
