The SMS sending problem is solved by downgrading your networksettings to 3G.
Cannot confirm this. Receiving SMS works, but sending SMS is not working. Provider 1&1 Germany (5G)
Text messaging seems to work, but it takes a long time to send. MMs KO in/out. (fr)
In my case rebooting and only rebooting worked. Currently, SMS are working. Next time I hope to be able to do some debugging.
Same here. Two days ago sent SMS, all fine. Yesterday nothing worked. VoLTE is off all the time, changed from 4G to 3G and 2G; still nothing. After restarts sending SMS worked again.
Same issue with 1&1 (Germany). Reboot not done so far.
SMS sending on first SIM (Telia Finland) is not working but MMS is working. On the second SIM (Vodafone Germany) both SMS and MMS are not working but Iām currently at roaming (Elisa Finland). I tried to switch from 4G (VoLTE) back to 2G but it didnāt help, still fails to send SMS.
OS update did not help. Still cannot send.
Only after restart working. In some point sendig SMS stops working.
On a jolla C2 with 5.0.0.62, Android App Support workaround did work for me.
Itās not related with 2G/3G/4G/VoLTE.
I rebooted multiple times my phone with those configurations, to no avail.
But deactivating auto start for Android Support did the trick : I could send the SMS I wrote.
Then, I could activate Android App Support, SMS still were working.
I guess itās an issue with phone initialization orderingā¦
