Send MMS larger than 1mb

Currently (X10 II, 4.3.0.12) maximum MMS sizes are of 1mb, which is, very low (when knowing that pictures taken with the phone are usually 4mb).

MMS larger than 1mb automatically fail, without saying why, where MMS < 1mb usually work.

In France, telco operators limit the size of MMS, usually around 600 ko

wasn’t aware of that, and I guess RCS isn’t a solution either…

Doesn’t or shouldn’t the Messages app compress pictures before sending them?

In general the quality of MMS is really bad - they are downsized and compressed badly. Afaik message app scales pictures down before sending out

Well in the end my new phone carrier doesn’t support MMS so problem solved…
