Security code | having the possibility to make a cursor placement

REPRODUCIBILITY: 100%
OS VERSION: 4.5.0.19
HARDWARE: Xperia 10 II
UI LANGUAGE: DE
REGRESSION: false

DESCRIPTION:

When having a alpha-numeric security code selected, the input user interface does not allow to position the cursor in the password textarea individually.

Scenario: 10 chars long passcode, while typing the 8th letters gets wrong, showing the password in cleartext shows it, and now the problem that is mentioned here: the user must delete the last letters until reaching the wrong position and then typing last letters again, instead to place the cursor at the wrong place and just retype the wrong single letter.

A good example of such UI interaction possibility is implemented by slava in his/her foil apps:

I can reach here the 8th position and make a correction.

PRECONDITIONS:

SFOS 4.5 with alpha-numeric security code support installed

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

  1. Lock the UI
  2. Input your code with errors
  3. Try to make correction

EXPECTED RESULT:

having the possibility to make a cursor placement

ACTUAL RESULT:

UI just allows to delete LIFO like

MODIFICATIONS:

None

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

I am mentioning here only the security code interface when the OS is booted and unlocked.

There is still an different UI while booting to input the code, but that should be treated separately

This is more like a feature request. Thus, marking so but also logging this internally.
