SD card is not writable

i have a jolla c2. i don’t understand much of this phone, your documentation or anyone explaining. please be patient with me.

i just inserted my sim and i am trying to download 3rd party FOSS apps which it doesnt accept. I have set it to accept 3rd party apps. Then i saw it doesnt accept my sd card to download my data before updating sailfish.

what can i do?

please treat me like a complete noob, with respect, cause i struggle to understand your technical language.

You should format your SD card in the C2. Search for storage in the Settings. Note that all existing data will be lost.

When you go to “Settings > System > Storage” what do you see?

Normally, A first circle for user data, a second one for system data and if you have inserted an sd card, a third circle “memory card” with the format type.

If you format SD card it will be totally erased. Your phone or SIM card will not be affected. Good luck.
