Just a note that I’m working on GH account integration in SFOS.

Anyone interested are invited to look at and improve

My plan is mainly to support notifications and not much more, but apps could re-use the account part for authentication.

How will this work with the new GitHub demanded 2FA?

From yesterday I will have to use an optional OTP app to log in. Knowing exactly nothing about 2FA I randomly choose FoilAuth, which worked… at least yesterday.

I believe through the magic of OAuth2, it can work just as email does (or doesn’t! :D).

You authorize on account creation, and the syncer has a token which allows it to authenticate.

More bad news about Github:

And yes, this is mostly about GH.

SfOS should really move its repos elsewhere.

Hey there !

In chum testing repo, you can find SailHub NG 0.4.0 or (0.3.1). I will see if I can put it in ā€œmainā€ branch.
I’ve been doing some updates over the last weeks to refresh some part of the app as I am a heavy user of github. I’ve been refreshing the consistency of the UI, emojis and markdown parsers.
Also it was my first brown field app, so it was a really nice learning.
Lately, I’ve been using the app from AppSupport too as I still need some features like the double auth.

I am curious to hear what direction or focus you would like to see in the app !
But I see I can run out of time to maintain the app. So feel free to submit PRs, or if you are really into it, we can add/set maintainers.

Hey - what happened to Sailhub NG? I am unable to find it in Chum, and your repositories are empty or missing, but it is still listed on your website.

Does it still exist?

Hey !

I went with a cleanup on my unmaintained projects.
This fork is actually too much effort for me as I realise that it’s easier to use Github with AppSupport.

I just made public back the repo, feel free to build from it : erwanlpfr/harbour-sailhub-ng - Codeberg.org
Later next week, I will revive my chum repo!
